The company now known as S+M Architekten AG was founded by Hans Vogelsanger and Albert Maurer in the house on the old site in Rüschlikon (ZH). They laid the foundations of the company.

Head office moves to Jenatschstrasse 6 in Zurich. In the same year Ernst Schwarzenbach joins the executive management as partner. With the arrival of Albert Maurer Jr. the company known as "Vogelsanger, Schwarzenbach and Maurer" is rechristened "Schwarzenbach and Maurer". Throughout these years the founders had a decisive influence on the history of S+M Architekten.

With orders flowing in, the office in Geneva opens with the aim of planning and realising every building projects according to its individuality and function.

René Walder, and in 1975, Giacinto Baggi and Paul Künzle join the company as partners. At the same time the now-familiar short version "S+M Architekten" is taken as the company name.

The company offices move to the generous space of Markusstrasse 10/12 in Zurich and to Avenue du Lignon in Vernier (GE). The best proof of our performance is that countless satisfied property owners continue to entrust new tasks to us.

S+M Architekten is listed as an "Aktiengesellschaft"

REPACI Holding AG founded with affiliates S+M Architekten AG Zurich (under Walter Döbeli and Roger Bébié) and S+M Architectes SA Vernier GE (under Alain Steiner).

Management decides on the succession process Managing Directors of S+M Architekten AG Zurich: Walter Döbeli and Hermann Zimmer, and since 2003 Roger Bébié. Managing Director of S+M Architectes SA Vernier: Alain Steiner. S+M Architekten AG currently employs twenty people in Zurich and ten in Geneva.

Management launch restructuring. Hermann Zimmer retires at the end of 2006 Managing Directors of S+M Architekten AG Zurich: Walter Döbeli and Roger Bébié. Managing Director of S+M Architectes SA Vernier: Alain Steiner. S+M Architekten AG currently employs 14 people in Zurich and ten in Geneva.
