The production and assembly hall is between the existing sheds and the service building and is 126 m long, 24 m wide and 13 m high. An important emphasis of the entire building is the 3.50-metre high luminous strip. Thanks to the extremely light post-and-bar construction, the factory roof appears weightless and to float in mid-air. Particular attention was paid to forming a clearly recognisable ensemble with the high-rise built by architect Rohn in 1948. Some years later, the new building for the central incoming goods at ABB Turbo Systems was raised: a high, smooth cube (56 m long, 36 m wide and 17.50 m high) that stands out prominently among the bulky environment of the industrial zone. Its 18 m overhanging canopy, measuring 900 m², is absolutely unmistakeable.
